HELP!!!! WET CAmERA!!!!!!!!?

okayyy, so i left my camera in a downpour of rain by accident, and my dad told me to put by the heater thingie to absorb water… it’s been there for 3 days. now, i didn’t take out the battery pack or memory card, nor did i shake water out of it. is it SAFE to do any of those things now???? or is there anything else that can help my camera to work again????? (it’s a canon powershot G9 in case that helps in any way whatsoever…)

take everything out, then put all the bits in a warm place,(not hot). When everything is completely dry re- assemble and turn on. You might be lucky!!
